One of my favourite types of guided meditations is The Body Scan.
A Body Scan involves scanning (or paying attention to) the various parts of your body, relaxing as many muscles or regions as possible, from the feet to the head. As you scan the body, you may be encouraged to pay attention to tension, aches, or pains, but then release the discomfort as you relax the body.
You can do this unguided, but I prefer to choose a guided Body Scan like this one from Jon Kabat-Zinn.
If you’re someone who has trouble getting out of your head or shelving your To Do list, especially before bed, a Body Scan can be a great option. It is designed to relax your body, yes, but it’s also guided which means you need to focus on someone else’s voice instead of the voice in your head
